Mordialloc CC

Players with MCC Bloodhounds

TONY WOINARSKI  ( C ) - "Woz" proudly leads Mordialloc Cricket Club from Melbourne on their first International tour. Former child prodigy in the batting mould of a Tendulkar who lost his mojo in his late teens. Dummy spitting and bat throwing antics where part of his cricketing profile in the early years. Certainly hasn't lost his intensity on the ground and the only time you will see him relax is at the bar after the game. Jumped at the chance to put together a touring squad after a phone call from the Tournament Director.

LANCE DRAPER  ( VC ) - The Mordialloc CC President is a true cricket lover and would never let his club go overseas without him. This classy aging left hand bat is more suited to Test Cricket, but sure to play some of the most stylish shots of the tournament. His squad members will struggle to get him away from the bar and out of the nightclubs. Can bowl with either arm and both deliveries lack any style or penetration but don't tell him.

WAYNE FOSTER - Former gun cricketer that opposition teams always feared. Out of retirement for his former clubs debut International tour and after the first day he could be back into retirement. "Big Foz" used to bowl like the wind and destroy teams batting in the middle order, however these days all he will destroy is you if you get into a shout with him. Will be determined to see what the Beijing bars have to offer and the tournament just an excuse to get here.

LEON KENNEDY - Played District cricket in Melbourne a long long time ago. Current 1st X1 Captain of Mordialloc who is well travelled.  Great bat who will be a danger to the opposition, but the real danger could be himself in the pre-game preparation that will see him try to get to as many bars and clubs that he can find. Expect him to hit some sixes early in the tournament before he discovers what Beijing has to offer.

SIMON PENDERGAST - Kremlin and Beijing China Cup Captain will join his old club and lifelong cricketing mates for this years Sixes. These keen cricketers and drinkers from Melbourne have also heard all the stories of how good he was and what a great Captain he is. The Beijing Sixes Tournament Director is delighted that the Mordi boys will travel so far to basically get on the gas with him. Steer clear at night certain to be out very late and on a mission.

PAT MORIARTY - Former Beijing resident who couldn't resist 3 days of cricket that gives him a chance to have a couple of quite beers. Solid performer at the 2008 Sixes who is prone to missing games due to activities from the previous night or morning. Don't expect to see the cricket ball in his hand that often unless it has a beer attached to it. Look out for the bloke with the red face and  cheeky smile and you will find Pat.
